VENTAJAS Y DESVENTAJAS

Ventajas:

  • Permite el ahorro en materiales de acabado por su estética.

  • Puede ser colocado bajo el agua.

  • Gran aceptación en tanto en arquitectura como en construcción.

  • Resistente a la corrosión.

  • Soporta altas temperaturas.

  • Ayuda a reducir el uso de luz artificial.

Desventajas:

  • Permite que se vean las instalaciones internas.

  • Su costo es el doble (o dos veces y madia) que del hormigón tradicional.

  • Debido a su resistencia, su destrucción es más difícil y por ende más costosa.

  • Aún no se encuentra normado como un material estructural.
